Meeting set to address issues in Georgetown’s Kimmeytown

GEORGETOWN — A  meeting facilitated by Town Council members Christina Diaz-Malone and Tony Neal will be held Thursday to address issues in the Kimmeytown area.

It's set for the First State Community Action Agency, 308 N. Railroad Ave., from 6-8 p.m.

Homeowners, church and business representatives, social service organizations, landlords, renters, community groups and leaders, the town manager, Georgetown police and other interested parties are invited.

Issues to be discussed include vagrancy,  robbery, incidents along the railroad tracks, reckless driving, drug- and alcohol-related activity,  prostitution, child safety and the lack of parks.
