Grant application workshop in Smyrna Sept. 19

SMYRNA — A Smyrna Downtown Redevelopment workshop on the grant application will be held Sept. 19 at Citizens’ Hose Company, 103 West Commerce Street.

The event will instruct on how to apply for federal, state, county and town grants, along with loans and tax credits to redevelop downtown property.

According to an announcement, residential homeowners, commercial business owners, landlords, contractors and private business owners are encouraged to attend.

The session, which begins at 6 p.m., will be presented by Smyrna Director of Planning Jeremy Rothwell, Kara Biggs of the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs and community development supervisor Cain Johnson.
