Complaint leads to hearing for Big Oyster in Lewes

LEWES — An application by Big Oyster LLC, 1007 Kings Hwy., to expand its patio and add live entertainment, speakers and a bar has had a protest filed on July 31, leading to a virtual hearing before the Delaware Alcohol Beverage Control Commissioner at 5p.m. on Aug. 28.

In order to testify at the hearing, preregistration is required, and can be completed at https://oabcc.delaware.gov/virtual-hearings. Only eligible persons are allowed to testify, according to a statement by the commissioner.

The applicant, anyone who filed the protest, and anyone who lives within one mile of the applicant qualifies to testify, according to the commissioner’s website.
