DOVER — Dylan Grimes has been promoted by the Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity to the position of development director.

Ms. Grimes started her work at CDHFH in 2019 as the nonprofit organization’s volunteer coordinator. She brought several years of Habitat experience through the Habitat for Humanity Club at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where she assisted on several Habitat job sites across the country.

CDHFH said that her talent, dedication and spirit quickly led to a promotion to public relations coordinator where she accepted the responsibility of CDHFH’s communications with donors, sponsors, vendors and media outlets.

Without a development director since pre-COVID-19, Ms. Grimes was often tasked with fundraising during the pandemic.

In 2021, she was named public relations manager and continued to manage sponsorships, fundraising and communications for CDHFH. She has secured more than $100,000 in her short tenure as a development professional.
