Seaford School District assistant superintendent named Administrator of the Year

SEAFORD — Dr. Sharon DiGirolamo, who pulls double duty in the Seaford School District as assistant superintendent and director of special education, is the 2021 Delaware Association of Special Education Professionals' Administrator of the Year.

She was nominated for this award by her peers in DASEP.

Dr. DiGirolamo joined the Seaford School District in 2015. She has served as the director of special education her entire time there and added the title of assistant superintendent in January 2020.

Previously, Dr. DiGirolamo has worked as a teacher or administrator in the Indian River School District, in the Polytech School District and in Worcester County, Maryland. She received her doctorate from the University of Delaware.
