Vienna man arrested on drug, gun charges
VIENNA — On Aug. 1, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division Narcotics Unit, assisted by members of the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, executed several search-and-seizure warrants within Dorchester County, including a property on Kraft Road in Vienna. A 72-year-old Vienna man was arrested as a result.
The following items were located and seized by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office: $23,649.75 of U.S. Currency, 12 firearms, an amount of crack cocaine consistent with possession with the intent to distribute, and a large amount of firearm ammunition.
The target of the investigation, Peter Kendall Smith Sr. was taken into custody and charged with the following:
- CDS: possession-not cannabis,
- CDS: possession with the intent to distribute:
- Narcotics, CDS: possession of paraphernalia,
- Possession of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime,
- Regulated firearm: illegal possession.
Smith went before the Dorchester County District Court commissioner and is currently being held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
