SALISBURY — The Wicomico County Fair is back, kicking off Friday and continuing through Sunday at WinterPlace Park.
Organizers said the Aug. 16-18 event showcases the importance of agriculture on the shore in a family-friendly atmosphere. Admission and parking at the fair are free.
Returning fair events include the Maryland High School Rodeo; Mason Dixon Deputies Mounted Shooters; 4-H and FFA competitions; arts and crafts demonstrations; livestock shows; watermelon, pie and hot wing eating contests; petting farm; duck races; disc dogs; car and Jeep shows; inflatables; pony rides; mini train rides; music; vendors; and fireworks on Friday.
The event is produced by Wicomico Farm & Home Show and Wicomico County, and is presented by Perdue, Toyota, Pohanka of Salisbury and Piedmont.
