Registration open for Virtual Alzheimer’s, Dementia Caregivers Conference

Theme of April 24 conference is “Dementia: Navigating the Journey”

SALISBURY — MAC’s 2024 Virtual Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers Conference, “Dementia: Navigating the Journey,” will be held Wednesday, April 24. CEU registration opens at 8:15 a.m.; the conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

CEUs will be available at no charge.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Christopher Weber, director of the world’s largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research, the Global Science Initiatives. He will present “Advancing the Science: Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research, Early Detection and Diagnosis.”

Other conference topics will include a panel discussion on dementia issues, the basics of effective referrals, social isolation in older adults, and more.

This year’s conference will be a part of the Geriatrics and Gerontology Education and Research Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore educational series, “Navigating Dementia.”
