Janes Island State Park has craft sessions, monthly bird walk in February

CRISFIELD — It may be winter but activities for the public continue at Janes Island State Park.

At the Nature Center on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. take part in an oyster shell painting class, and let your artistic palette make a for a fun Valentine’s gift.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 build a rain gauge for use at home.

If you’ve wanted to learn how to tie knots, Knot Tying 101 is offered 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.

To participate in one of these classes call 410-968-1565 to register.

On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. the monthly birding walk will be conducted by members of the Tri-County Chapter of the Maryland Ornithological Society. These guided walks are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
