Craft and vendor show is Saturday in Milford

MILFORD — Leap of Faith Events is ready to paint the town for shoppers Saturday, hosting a craft and vendor fair.

Along with Fur Baby Pet Resort, it will stage the event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We’ve got close to 40 different vendors,” said Jennifer Parnell from Leap of Faith. “We will have a little bit of everything.”

For instance, sellers will offer homemade jewelry, crochet pieces, customized tumblers and woodcrafts, to name a few.

Breakfast and lunch will be for sale from a variety of stands, like Rita’s, I Love the Plate and Philly Pretzel Factory.

Ms. Parnell said it will be a good opportunity to enjoy the spring weather and bring people together.

“It will be a lot of fun to get out and talk to our neighbors,” she said. “It is one of the first times that Milford can get out and stretch their arms and see people they haven’t seen all winter.”

And, with the city election April 27 and statewide balloting later this year, some candidates will be in attendance to greet shoppers, Ms. Parnell added.

“It brings the community in and gives them a chance to talk to them, ask questions and give them suggestions on how we, as the constituents, would like to see our city ran,” she said.

One of Leap of Faith’s main goals is to open up ways for small businesses to showcase their products and services. Ms. Parnell said she understands the value of the crafters’ work and wants others to show the same support to local entities as she does.

“I love being able to provide the opportunity for small business, local people and even hobbyists to be able to get out and sell their products,” she continued. “Every one of my vendors has their own stories and their own reasons for selling their pieces.”

The event will take place at Fur Baby, 301 N.E. Front St. It is free to attend and will be pet-friendly.
