March at DCA features a variety of live music sure to please. Start with the Second Saturday Reception on March 9, featuring Zoe Michelle Bradshaw with David Raizen from 5-7 p.m. Zoe is an actress, musician, voice teacher and yoga instructor based in Salisbury.  She is the vocalist and manager of the indie folk duo The Sky Lanterns, the vocalist of Rhythm Revival, and has appeared as a guest artist for various local bands. The reception is for the March gallery show: “Carole Gemeny Scott: For the Love of Art and Family.” The reception features light refreshments and is free of charge. All are welcome.

Next, turn to Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. for Open Mic. Admission is free, with refreshments available for purchase. Each week features a guest host musician. March features KC Stangl, Josh Woodard, Katie Mae and Emma Myers. Open Mic runs every Tuesday night through April 23. Bring your voice and instrument and join the lineup, or just come to enjoy.

Open Mic is followed by the Winter Wednesdays Open Art series on Wednesday evenings 6-8 p.m. through the end of March. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary. Experiment with paint and chalk, with artist Ed Krell onsite to offer guidance, and live music provided by Marianne Styles and Jon Jacobs. All ages welcome; under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The month of music wraps on March 30 with a concert in the Performance Hall with Eastern Shore Outlawz featuring Suprel Simmons, from 6- 7:30 p.m. Hailing from Dorchester County, these musicians have played in almost every musical genre from heavy metal to hip hop, before finding their current home in country, producing a versatility and sound that is uniquely the Shore.
