Teacher Career Expo hosted by Somerset County Public Schools, no February board meeting
WESTOVER — If you’re soon to graduate with teaching credentials or want to make a change Somerset County Public Schools wants to hear from you.
A Teacher Career Expo & School Showcase will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28 for those seeking full-time teaching positions to start this fall.
Hours are 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and it will be held at Somerset County Technical High School, 7994 Tawes Campus Drive.
All teacher candidates attending will be entered into a $50 Amazon gift card drawing. Candidates who bring a friend will earn an entry into a second $50 Amazon gift card drawing. Walk-ins welcome, but pre-registration preferred at http://bit.ly/SCPSExpo.
Also announced was the cancellation of the February meeting of the Board of Education due to illness among board officers and death of the chair’s mother.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 19 at board office in Westover, with the open session at 6 p.m.
