The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined Pastors Drew and Lauren Fryder in the ribbon-cutting celebration of LiFT Church’s new house of worship in north Salisbury.
Pastor Drew welcomed guests inside the new, state-of-the-art LiFT Church auditorium that used to be part of the old Service Merchandise store.
“We are honored to be a member of the Chamber as we get more involved with the community and honored that you are joining us today,” he said.
While Drew is from New Orleans, Lauren was born and raised on the Shore.
“We met while I was doing ministry in Louisiana, and she came to Louisiana with an evangelist as an intern,” he said. “We moved to Salisbury and now have three beautiful daughters.”
Drew said that over four years ago, while meeting at Regal Cinemas, the congregation became a church.
“We have been growing ever since,” he said. “Our new space became available a year and a half ago, we remodeled it and are excited to call this LiFT Church’s new home.”
The church has Sunday services at 8:30, 10, and 11:30 a.m.
LiFT Church is a diverse, contemporary, life-giving, non-denominational and evangelical church. In addition to the spacious worship auditorium, the facility has a kid’s room, mother’s room, sensory room, meeting room available for the community and a café.
At the ribbon-cutting event, guests had the opportunity to network as they toured the new facilities and enjoyed delightful shrimp cocktails, charcuterie and crudité cups, a cupcake bar, and uniquely flavored infused lemonade.
