SALISBURY  -- The Salisbury University Foundation, Inc., recently spotlighted its newest board members during the organization’s first meeting of the spring semester.

They include Stephen Farrow of Salisbury and Bethany Beach, DE; and William Hall, Esq; Dr. Charles Silvia Jr.; and Maria Waller, all of Salisbury.

Farrow, who has served previously on the board, is the retired president and CEO of Piedmont Airlines.

Hall, who earned his B.A. in political science from SU in 1993, is an attorney in Salisbury.

Silvia is a retired vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He also has served on the SU Nursing Advisory Board.

Waller is president of Quality Staffing Services in Salisbury.

“These members have served the board admirably since their appointments last fall,” said Jason Curtin, SU vice president of advancement and executive director of the SU Foundation, Inc. “They all have been a part of the SU community in very distinct and special ways, and we appreciate their willingness to lend their talents for the benefit of the University and its students.”

Curtin praised Hall for his support of SU’s political science and performing arts initiatives. Farrow, Silvia and Waller also have been strong supporters of the University. In addition, the latter are parents of SU alumni.

Guided by a 31-member board, the SU Foundation was created in 1973 to accumulate funds by gift and investment to enhance the University. Since then, it has enriched the academic growth and physical expansion of SU through the support of student scholarships, faculty research, new facilities and community outreach.
